Lip Filler is a Big Business, But How Do We Really Feel About It?

Kylie Jenner’s lips could sink ships, or billion-dollar tech companies. Earlier this year, the 20-year-old beauty mogul and Keeping Up With the Kardashians star Kylie Jenner cost popular selfie app Snapchat $1.3 billion dollars of its market value with a single tweet that lead fans to detest the app. Jenner may have destroyed a piece of Snap Inc., but in 2015 after announcing that she attributes the sudden plumpness of her lips to Dr. Simon Ourian, The American Society of Plastic Surgeons noted that there was a 50% increase in lip augmentations for 18 to 55-plus-year-olds between 2000 and 2016. One London clinic reported a 70% rise in lip injection inquiries within a 24-hour time period after Jenner announced her big secret.

With this surge of lip filler procedures, which can clearly be detected in a majority of today’s Instagram influencers and beauty YouTube stars, we turned to the Perfect365 app’s audience to see how they felt about lip fillers. 

Lip Filler Survey Results: Love or hate?

A little over 1,000 women participated in the lip filler survey in the Perfect365 app, giving us a glimpse of what digital beauty fans think of the minimally invasive lip fillers that celebrities and influencers pout with on the red carpet and daily social media posts.
