Augmented Reality: Bridging the Digital Consumer Gaps

In an attempt to bridge the gap between the digital shopping experience and the physical reality of interacting with merchandise, several retailers have begun innovating with a myriad of AR implementations in their stores, websites and mobile apps.

 With the apparent success of AR implementations in various areas of the fashion world, it's far from surprising that AR is trickling into the realm of accessories and jewelry as well.

 A survey of 3,695 consumers, conducted by Perfect365, indicated that the vast majority of users would embrace augmented reality as a way to help inform their buying decisions when shopping for accessories that include sunglasses, earrings, necklaces and scarfs, among other things.
